Reacting to the controversy, Okorie asserted that Burna Boy took advantage of the socialite, emphasizing that Sophia had clearly stated her expectations.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress condemned the singer’s actions, arguing that as a public figure, he should set a better example.
“This is one of the worst things any celebrity can do,” Okorie stated. “God made you a superstar for a reason—to be a voice for the voiceless and to help those in need. That girl [Sophia] clearly needs help, but instead, you took advantage of her after she told you her price.”
She further defended Sophia against critics, stating:
“People calling her out for demanding a Lamborghini are being unfair. She has named her price—that’s who she is. She sees herself as valuable as a Lamborghini, and if you agree to it, you should follow through. As an A-list artist, someone in a position of influence, you should be uplifting people, not exploiting them.”
The controversy has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with fans and critics sharing their opinions on the matter.
